Broadband...

Will the wonders never cease... A long time time in coming, but it's finally happened. I now have a broadband connection. Admittedly it's not as fast as ADSL and the download limit is rather small at 4 gig, but it does provide me with a connection that's actually usable.
After the wii is setup I'll have finished setting up all the devices for the house. You never know, I might even be able to use utube. :-)

I think I purchased the girly console...

When seeing the breakup of results as to which is the best next generation console I saw the nintendo wii coming in a good second. Weirder was the fact that the majority of people that voted it the best nextgen console were girls.... Could it be in fact that I've purchased the console preferred by more women? Can I expect to be playing Barbie or the Saddle Club on it soon since they were the only new titles released for it.

Well hopefully I can live off Resident Evil for a while longer.

More Brain Training... (for the nintendo ds)

The concept of more mathematics, for brain training might not be something a lot of people look forward too, but once again.... Who new maths could be fun? There are a number of new puzzles this time they appear to rely more heavily on language. For example make a word out of the floating rotating letters. My favourite so far has to be multiple voices saying words and trying to figure out what each one says. Rather cool.

Definitely worth the $50, if only for more suduko puzzles... Am I the only person that finds those things more fun than they should be?

Refactoring ASP.NET

Refactoring asp.net has always been a little bit of an issue with Visual Studio 2005. Most of the refactorings didn't extend nicely to ASP.NET. At http://www.devexpress.com/Products/NET/IDETools/RefactorASP/ is a free download Refactor ASP, to give people a taste of new refactorings, so that they might consider the purchase of refactor pro. It includes cool stuff like the extraction of styles, content for master pages, adding of validators and ajax. For those .NET nerds out there enjoy.

Camel Back...

Want a good way to feed incredibly sore, well I think you'd be hard pressed not feel something after the steep climb that exists on the Camel Back trail. The upside to all of it is that exercise is always good, so feeling sore, in a way is good too. Plus it's always nice seeing a good view, have a nice strong wind blow against you and to see just a little bit of wildlife.
More importantly the release for the wii of Street Fighter 2 has occurred. This is one of the classic games that people still play today and refer to as the best fighting game made to this day. Personally I'd have to say that they're wrong and that Tekken surpassed it in excellence. The other truly great game to be released recently has to be super mario brothers IMHO. The game makes me realize how strangely well adapted I've become to the modern type of 3D video game, whilst my platforming skills weren't able to get me past level three on the first world. Hopefully such abilities won't be lost on me, and they'll quickly be recovered as skills, much like riding a bike. :-)

Cool Hat

Traveling is something that I think should be experienced. Finding something that looks as curious as this at Wee Jasper, reminds me of the many oddities that you tend to see at country pubs that just don't seem available within a the sanitized, franchised stores that invade any city. With diversity and new things always sparking a person's interest, it seems strange that the world moves towards a single generic view of everything.
Probably complete nonsense what I just typed, but never mind. Still a rather interesting item and considering the need to travel around 10 km on a dirt road, you'd better like stuffed animals wearing hats.
